How Will I Keep You Safe?

This is a central question in my writing and in my life. I return to it over and over, the way I return to Ohio at Christmas, or to my favorite cashmere sweater every time the weather turns grey.

How do we find safety in ourselves again after loss, trauma, or long stretches of loneliness?

I explore this question in my writing and tell stories about love, grief, and self-devotion.
